The book containsa description of home chaos and its impact on childrens' cognitive ability and their social and emotional adjustment. It is based on phd disseratation: empirical study conducted with Pakistani primary school children. The study indicates that children from chaotic home environment exhibit elevated levels of externalizing and internalizing problems, less adaptive and study skills. However the resukts have not indicated any significant relationship between home chaos and children's cognitive ability which might be ans indicationd of cultural moderators. The study is the pioneer work in Pakistan and have opened a very important area of research previously neglected. various implications and recommendations have been discussed and various hypotheses have been presented for future researchers.
