Citrus Micro-irrigation and Fertigation Research: Irrigation Scheduling, Micro-irrigation Systems, Water Requirements and Npk Fertigation in Nagpur Mandarin and Acid Lime

The citrus is sensitive to lack of moisture, nutrients, water logging and nutrients uptake, plant growth, regular flowering and quality fruiting. These factors when combined together lead to citrus decline. Proper care has to be, therefore, taken to tackle this problem right from the selection of soil to establishment of an orchard,plant growth phases, flowering and fruit development period. The research work done at National Research Centre for Citrus (ICAR), Nagpur (M. S.), India over the last eighteen years (1996-2013) has been highlighted in this book, which contains valuable information on various aspects of soil water management technologies, micro-irrigation, fertigation, muching technique and drainage related to Nagpur mandarin and acid lime cultivation.
