This book on health of residents of senior care homes in the United States of America and India highlights various residential models of care in both the cultures. Residents in both long term and short term senior care homes in India and United States were the participants of the study. The focus of this research is to understand physical & psychological health status of residents in senior care homes in long term care facilities in the U. S. Psychological health status with special reference to depression was examined in the residents. An attempt was also made to assess social supports and social resources of residents living in old age homes in India, with those living in senior nursing homes in the United States. To gain deeper understanding on life experiences of senior residents in long term care facilities typical case studies were recorded and observations were depicted in this book.
