The author investigated the association between sensory deficits and cognitive impairments in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). 14 ASDs children with sensory problems were compared to 13 ASDs without sensory problems aged 3 to 12 with IQ of above 70. A neuropsychological battery was used to evaluate this association, in a pioneer study, which focused on the effect of sensory perceptual on cognitive flexibility, attention, memory, and learning. The last part focuses on the association using Neuropsychological Battery and puts one?s hands on the details of the problem.
