How Does Corruption Affect Economic Development?: an Empirical Research on the Effects of Corruption on Economic Development
Panagiotis Arsenis
This book discusses the relationship between corruption and economic development. Corruption here is defined as the abuse of power by a public official for private benefit. This is an empirical research using well known econometric methods along with recent data related to corruption and economic development. The results agree with the ones from older similar researches while at the same time the author tries to incorporate some new variables that capture aspects of economic development never examined before.
