Pakistan is an important sheep producing country and it ranks 11th in sheep population in the world. The data was collected on the parameters as, weight gain, feed intake and growth rate. The results show that the effect of CONC.diet was significant on daily dry matter intake (P=0.001), feed conversion ratio(P>0.05), daily weight gain (P>0.05), final live weight(P>0.001), carcass weight (P>0.001), dressing percentage (P>0.001), conformation scores (P>0.05), KKCF (P>0.001), head weight (P>0.05), heart weight (P=0.05), kidneys weight (P>0.001), stomach weight (P>0.05), skin weight (P>0.001), liver weight (P=0.05), lungs weight (P=0.001), trotter (feet) (P>0.05), total bones (P>0.05), circumference of buttock (P>0.05) and fat score (P>0.001) as compared to the FOD. fed lambs. However of FOD. fed lambs had longer finishing period (P>0.001), heavy total bones (P>0.05), weight of m. longissimus dorsi (P>0.05), Lean:bone ratio (P>0.05) and more leaner carcasses (P=0.06) than CONC. fed lambs. The results of this trial show that the sex had an effect on growth and carcass composition. Therefore castration may only increase the fatness of carcass but lean remains lower.
