English for Students of Mathematics: for Graduate and Undergraduate Courses

'ESP for students of mathematics' is a textbook written for the purpose of satisfying the needs of Math students. It is composed of 12 units related to important math issues. Each unit is comprised of several parts. The lexicon is presented together with transcriptions and examples to be used by students in the process of learning specialized vocabulary. To our knowledge, a few textbooks of ESP for math students have been published so far, and those few have not included the transcriptions of the new words. So, especial vocabulary items, general new items, in tandem with the transcriptions provided make this textbook a useful resource for Math students. The teacher could check students' aptitude by asking them to do comprehension exercises. The vocabulary section, with several different types of exercise, can be used in the classroom to make learning much easier. Every unit contains a grammar section, brief and relevant to students' needs, which has been designed in such a way to be simple and at the same time challenging and less boring. The conversation and funny math tasks given for oral practice could be considered as simple attempt in encouraging students to communicate orally
