Leguminous forages are important constituents of ration of the ruminant animals in the world. Soil nutrient management to produce perennial leguminous forages is much important since they stand for several years. In most cases, the composition of soil nutrients becomes imbalanced in the field in which the perennial forage legumes are grown for few years, because of their self fixation of nitrogen and regular uptake of the nutrients by plants. It affects directly to the growth of plants, forage production and seed attributing characters. This book, therefore, discuss about the nutrient management- especially phosphorus in mature stands of Flemingia macrophylla, a multipurpose perennial leguminous forage shrub. The effects of phosphorus application on forage yield, seed yield, fuel wood yield and their attributes have been analyzed. Moreover, the book also deals with the effect of Flemingia forage wilting to increase its intake rate to the goats. This book will be more useful for the ruminant farmers, the professionals working in the areas of multipurpose legumes production and animal nutritionists, and also will be interesting to the researchers working the field of forage legumes.
