This book provides a simple and easy apporoach for those who are intended to work or conduct study on groundwater potential and understanding of the flow behavior which is important for proper management of groundwater resources. This work deals with groundwater potential assessment and numerical flow modeling for estimating the recharge, assessing the groundwater balance and understanding the groundwater flow behavior. In addition, the book demonstrates modeling approach and application of mathematical models. In this book the used model is PMWIN Pro (Modflow), which is proved to be a very useful tool for the investigation of the hydrogeological characteristics, the interaction between river and aquifers, and the water budget of the catchment. Finally, the author suggests that groundwater flow modeling can be a useful technique for planning the production of water supply wells in aquifers.
