Experiment entitled "Influence of different multipurpose tree species on improvement of soil fertility and carbon sequestration under rainfed conditions" was conducted at Agroforestry Research Station, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar, District: Banaskantha (Gujarat), India. Thirty years old agroforestry tree plantation consisting of four multipurpose tree species (MPTs) (Azadirachta indica, Prosopis cineraria, Prosopis juliflora and Acacia tortolis) maintained at the station were compared with the control plot (without tree plantation) for soil fertility status and CO2 sequestration.
