The research is based on the study of the inequality of the use of time in the Unpaid Work (TNR) in the sector Guasmo sur in the city of Guayaquil, among the most relevant variables is the gender, the question raised is: Does gender affect the difference in the number of hours of TNR between men and women? Social gender stereotypes restrict access, supply, and wages in the labor market mainly to women, income, and education influence economic autonomy and social empowerment, and NER is charged to women. Therefore, it can be concluded that the variables analyzed in the Guasmo Sur follow national trends that are comparable with the INEC and also with different organizations such as ILO, ECLAC that studies this phenomenon called unpaid work at the regional and global level.
