Physical education and sport teachers have an important role to play in the training of students in sports activities, as qualified professionals to provide each young student with experiences and motivation for a physically active life. Although sport can offer a wide range of educational opportunities to students, it should be noted that a new specific pedagogy should replace the current traditional pedagogy which is based on technique as the only approach to learning sport. The transition from practice to the playing environment will depend on the similarity between practice or training and play, therefore further research is needed to confirm this theory. A new approach has been proposed to make the content of wrestling available for pedagogical purposes, with an emphasis on introducing wrestling through games. This approach is based on distance and hand-to-hand combat games, which are considered an excellent pedagogical strategy for teaching and introducing wrestling.
