The work of cinematographer Juri Sillart

Estonian cameraman Jüri Sillart ("Forest Violets", "Dead Mountaineer Hotel", "Requiem", "Swarm", "Stolen Date", "Niepernaadi", etc.) has won many prizes and honourable mentions. He is in constant creative search, he does not rest on his laurels, he does not try to use "tried and tested", successful tricks. Drawing upon traditions of classical camerawork school, Juri Sillart pursues his own original path, characterized by virtuosic mastery of technique, expressive colour expression, organic inclusion into the overall dramatic system of an episode, a scene and a film in general.
