The city of Fada N'Gourma is located in the East of Burkina Faso in the Eastern Region, more precisely in the province of Gourma. It is both the capital of the region and the province. It is a crossroads city whose main activity remains trade. For this, it has several markets, the most important of which is the Central Market, the engine of the urban economy and the hub of trade flows in the eastern region. Moreover, it creates an urban dynamic and impacts several sectors of the city's economy. This book presents the contribution of the Central Market of Fada N'Gourma to urban development. The main question is: What is the contribution of the Fada N'Gourma Central Market to urban development?The methodology is based on documentary research, collection and analysis of field data on themes related to infrastructure and market activities, trade and urban development.
