"Émergence du fumisme" is an essay which sets the record straight by giving the word "fumisme" the French literary and artistic value which it deserves - but which everyone (or almost) ignores. A true synthesis of a philosopher, literary specialist and political scientist, this essay follows a work on the use of irony in two poets and artists who have marked the artistic productions of France since the 1860s.
