Napoleon

A brief biography of one of the greatest military conquerors in history, who rose fromobscurity to become Napoleon 1 - Emperor of the French. Nicknamed the ' Little Corporal ', he led his armies to victory and conquered much of Europe by 1797. His efforts to conquer all of Europe failed and he was finally defeated by the combined British and Prussian armies at Waterloo in 1815. An Excellent administrator Napoleon believed in government ' for ' the people. He introduced law codes, abolished feudalism, created efficient government and fostered education, science, literature and the arts.
