The occupational card sort method is described in Career Counselling: Themes and methods by Lisbeth Højdal. The book presents a qualitative approach to working with different kinds of counselling needs and the themes that may be associated with them. This deck of occupational cards consists of cards with 60 different job titles which represent jobs from within various industries and occupational fields.   
The job titles have been selected from job databases available in several different countries and from existing listings of industries and occupations. Using a broad selection of job opportunities may support the counselee to reflect on their values and beliefs about the future and how these may relate to different career opportunities. It may also contribute to nuance the counselee's perceptions of different alternatives and to widen their choice perspective.
