Almost two decades after the death of his friend, the unnamed narrator found himself settled in one small province in the Philippines. But now, after many years, with a curious daughter and a busy wife. The novel, containing two parts, revolves around longing for someone far gone; for a lost time that adds up to the present loneliness. A hazy repression of denial and guilt. Still, in time, after telling his memory of one magical night to his daughter, one has no choice but to face the music; to dwell more into the in-depth cause of why his friend, Maya, committed suicide.
