Liligumma is a small but beautiful hill station on the Koraput Rayagada Railway line. During the construction of this Railway line an engineer names Srikant meets a girl from Liligumma and a romance ensues. On the request of the girl, the station is built near her village but the engineer loses his job soon after. The novella is a poignant tale of unrequited love. The writer, who is a retired Railway officer, has woven eleven more stories based on his experiences. The collection of stories is peppered with humour, empathy towards Railway staff and crime stories which will strike a chord in the heart of the readers
