Poetry: A Biblical Perspective - The Pen of the Ready Writer is an exploration of poetry through the lens of the Word of God. It was my (the author's) way of answering questions that I have about the reasons why God has shaped me into a poet. The wonderful thing about this book is that I provide practical examples from my own writing experience to help illustrate many of the principles that are highlighted. I also share quite a few of my poems as well. This book would be useful for anyone who may be interested in poetry, but it will be especially helpful for poets who are also Christians. The content focuses on many different aspects of poetry-writing ... things like: the first ever poem, God's purpose for poetry, the nature of a poet, major poets of the Bible and more. It's a thought-provoking read which I hope will help many poets find philosophical mooring for what we do.
