Losing isn't always losing, in fact there is great victory in ending up at the wrong end of our expectations. This book is entitled "The Victory in Losing" for this very reason. We are often disappointed because we miss the mark represented by being first, being the best or being recognized as the victor. There are so many life instances that teach us that in order to win sometimes we have to lose and to attain something great we first have to let some things go. Winning the war may involve losing some of the battles. Being a better person may mean losing yourself as you are. Seeing the bigger picture may mean losing sight of the smaller and less important things. God sometimes denies our requests or take us through a season of hardship in preparing us for a greater victory.
