In Scotland, schools are vacating for the Summer holiday and amongst the many students are Quantum Eks, his best friend Juanita and six weeks ahead of them. The two science majors are driven by their interest in science to explore the basement lab in the Eks's backyard of their huge Broughty Ferry mansion to find out what new project their dads are working on. Their snooping leads to many unanswered questions, especially the one about Quantum's missing mum, Mrs Eks. Who vanished without a trace months ago and has still not been found.
At the same time their dads, Zerken Eks and Jeremy Preps are working round the clock to set right a scientific mistake that they had made. But as atomic scientists, the demands of their work sets them back until circumstances force them to make decisions that could affect everything they have worked for.
On the other side of the world, a world-renown scientist called Dr Hamzani is set to meet them at the International Scientific Conference and heads to London for this. A meeting that will set in motion a series of events that could affect every single person in the world. Things take an unusual turn when they return back to Dundee and a third party is involved. This changes everything, and everything they have ever known or been taught in science comes into play.
Quantum Eks is a thrilling novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
