This is a story of an eleven year old partially crippled boy living on a small island in the Caribbean. The villagers are mostly poor, working on the fish docks and sugarcane fields for a living. Pedro loves to fish on a charter boat with his friend Captain Bill. It is a heartwarming, heartbreaking story of a poor village boy and his dog, Spot, that I'm sure you will fall in love with.
