Deputy U. S. Marshal John Holden will lose the love of his life. Haunted by her memory he will fill his days with his duty, pursuing and capturing outlaws throughout the American West. He travels will take him to many places and into the Indian Nations. Where he will arrest a quirky outlaw, meet an old friend, and discover a new one from out of the shadows. They will meet a wagon train and Holden will save the beautiful gambler, Wanda Bouchard, from a dire circumstance. Together they will journey west facing stagecoach bandits, killers, Indians, and deadly fires. The treacherous trail will bring them to the small town of River Bend where they both must face a showdown for their very lives.
