The German-American Family Saga, tells the changing story of a family, a German-American history, embedded in the respective political circumstances and events of the last 170 years. It tells of German emigrants to America, of settler treks, gold diggers and farmers. It gives an insight into the misery and desperation of people who were forced to leave their homeland due to war events. Of people who tried to build a new existence but broke up at the GDR state, who followed the light and the unrestrained will to survive, who always pulled themselves together and dared a new beginning after every defeat.
