The year 2021 starts with over 350,000 Americans dead from the pandemic. Trump and his White House have been not only inept, but now silent as 2,500 perish every day. U. S. hospitals are stretched to the limits. Patients are turned away because their prognosis is poor or, alternately, they might just live without hospitalization. It's a terrible time for the country. However, two vaccines are being distributed and a third is on its way: there is a countervailing force to the virus. But the infection statistics look to be only 15% of the truth; infections may be up to 8 times greater than reported. With all this, the endgame for the pandemic is in perhaps 3-4 months.
