Vera, a Guatemalan young woman, decides to travel to the old continent after a sentimental failure. Nevertheless, fate plays a trick on her, and loaded with a baggage of disappointments and sadness, she decides to return to her native country. After she returns to her land, Vera meets a man of Lebanese descent; an enigmatic person who has a special gift, and who changes her worldview forever. After hearing the anecdotes about his grandparents, she becomes obsessed with knowing the story of his new friend's Lebanese ancestors, and to find it, she has to travel to Lebanon. There, unexpectedly, she gets involved in a complex situation; but, it's too late to go back. To live or to die will be her only alternative. Vera enters an unknown journey, full of emotions, which begins in Rome, a city full of art and culture; passing through Guatemala, land of shamans and Mayan temples, and the lovely Colombian Eastern Plains; to finish in Beirut, Lebanon. The last Lebanese is a novel full of contrasts and adventures that communicates the unknown by man in his ordinary world. It tells the shaman's communication with nature and the world of the dead; the magic that exists in the remote places of the Colombian Orinoquía, where everything is cured through the sorceress of the llaneros; and Vera's adventure in Lebanon, when trapped in a war conflict. This is a lovely story that demonstrates what love can conquer.
