In return, all the book wants is her soul. The book is a promise made to an ancient soul trapped in a purgatory made for him and his parents. The book is populated with the souls of those who found the book. Some were tricked into hell while others earn their way. A mysterious force controls both purgatory and the book with its agenda. The force watches over Kaylee as she transitions from a young girl hiding behind a window, watching others to a dominant force in her high school and the world within the book. Can Kaylee keep her soul, or will she be unable to turn away from temptation?
