Arsene Lupin

Arsène Lupine is a French fictional character created by Maurice Leblanc. This burglar gentleman is particularly known for his talent for using disguises and changing his identity to commit his crimes. The hero appears for the first time in the short story L'Arrestation by Arsène Lupine, published in the magazine Je sais tout in July. 1905. Its creator, Maurice Leblanc, repeats this news in the collection Arsène Lupine, gentleman-burglar published the same year. Faced with the character's growing success with readers, his adventures appeared from 1905 until the author's death in 1941, in eighteen novels, thirty-nine short stories and five plays.
