It is January 2018. Prudy lands in South Africa, to work as a teacher. Initially, everything seemed to be flourishing. But it was short-lived. Within two months, there dawned a drastic change in his life. Friends disappeared, he lost his sister and he was overcome with depression. He felt isolated and realized that he had to fight this battle on his own. On returning to New Zealand, he applied for, and was successful, in securing a teaching post in Uzbekistan. He embraced this new land and all the new gems that were forthcoming: the warmth and love of the people; the humility and kindness that oozed over; and the beauty of the land: this helped lift him out of his deep depression. He found himself on a path of self-discovery as he grew in strength and began inspiring others. Towards New Shores in a land less travelled, a land less known, becomes his healing home: a place to dwell in and to resume his climb to the top of the mountain.
