Studying can be a chore even when students have great teachers. How much more challenging it must be when they don't! What about if they do not have a teacher at all, or they study remotely? The good news is that students are their own most influential teachers? Sure, they might have brilliant teachers, but from the time the information leaves the teacher and reaches their brain, the ball is now in their court to assimilate it and eventually to reproduce it in their classwork, tests and exams. This book encourages students to study by both applying teaching techniques and by actively teaching others what they want to learn. Each point, expressed as a study tip, is concise and informally written- with pictures, examples and diagrams to support it. The author has over 20 years of teaching experience and has studied under various distance learning programmes. She includes concepts she has learned and practised as a teacher, as well as her personal story as a student growing up in less than ideal circumstances in the Caribbean.
