Once Upon a Time in Texas

This small book is the story of growing up in small town Texas, or more accurately on a small ranch in Texas, told with photographs and brief stories. The 74 photographs in this book were taken between late 1960s and mid-1970s, and most have never been exhibited. The stories, vignettes if you prefer, were written not long after the photographs, and edited recently. The stories are about hauling hay, an old fiddler's contest, visiting Grandmother, a not very serious hunt with a friend, and Saturday night.
