Khwarizmi developed the numerals based on the Hindu numeral system and Indian mathematics. The Western world adopted his numeral system. The term "algorithm" is the Latinization of his name and the invention of the algorithm methodology. The algorithm defines the steps for calculation of the solution of a problem. Khwarizmi moved the mathematics from the Greek world of geometry and created the new mathematics based on Algebra. His algorithm is used to solve the second-order equation. His invention of Algebra and the algorithm methodology paved the way for the age of Enlightenment. Khwarizmi was a philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician. His quest for knowledge, love of mathematics led him to leave his mark on humanity.
