Just a Few Jean Ovide Bourdeau

Originally intended as a vanity item for my own private consumption at the end of this life of mine, I decided to publish it nonetheless for the simple reason I presume of advertising that I was once here and that to me at least I mattered a bit. The luxury of preparing a private compendium of one's artworks just for the sheer pleasure of it along with the treat of reliving past pleasures experienced in the course of each of their execution are without a doubt a unique privilege afforded a few of us irrespective of skill level, and this regardless of values, meanings and standards inevitably promulgated by such exhibitions. This is particularly true in our present world now severely afflicted with a planetary-wide 'Intellectual Disease of Self-Righteousness'. Look! I am no fool. I know these artworks reflect a limited talent. Originally, I merely wanted to offer myself the sheer luxury of looking at these few memories in my last years in the comfort of my residence, but then for hedonistic reasons I decided to publish it although quite certain nobody would bother buying it. A last show-off I suppose. Like saying again, before leaving for that eternal disintegration: "Look I was here once, and I wish I mattered a little bit at least".
