In the 2nd book of the series, Sarah builds on the skills she introduced in book 1, incorporating the three major chords of the C major scale, I, IV and V, in many pieces, as well warmups for scales and chords in F major and G major. The book includes multiple pieces for developing fluency playing close chords, broken chords and simple melodies. She also introduces the A minor chord in her piece "Where the Heart Lands", using more shapes and pictures to show the chords. "57 Chevy Bel Air" is a fun 50's sounding piece at the end of the book in 6/8 time, using all the chords she covered in Book 1 and book 2. In book 3 Sarah continues to build on skills covered in the first 2 books, explaining how the triads and inversions you are already playing, work, as well as how they can be written using chord symbols. She also teaches the inner workings of the major scale, covering whole steps and half steps, and how they create major and minor intervals and harmonies. Sarah includes fun and beautiful pieces introducing more rhythmic patterns, dotted notes, and syncopation!
