Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-The purpose of realizing this historical context is to approach the understanding of a historical epoch from the elements provided by the text. Hence the importance of placing the document in context. It is necessary to unravel what its author or authors have said, how it has been said, when, why and where, always relating it to its historical moment. What better way to start my particular tribute to Dickens, two hundred years after his birth in 1812, than by reading the biography that the British novelist Gilbert Keith Chesterton, his great admirer, dedicated to him in 1906. What better way to delve into his literature and in his person, through whom he knew best. Going through my library the other day, it turns out that Chesterton is the second writer I have the most books about and the second I have read the most (the first will come later, I will comment in a future review that is being modeled in my head) and I really wanted to dedicate a few pages to some of his books. The opportunity appeared when it came to my mind that this was the Dickens year, and, coincidentally, this biography was next to the books of the immortal writer (wise decision). Therefore, the cards were arranged. My particular muse was inspiring me doubly.
