Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-The Macbeth tragedy was written by WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE between 1606 and 1608; by some references of the time it is known that in 1610 it had already been represented. Due to its dramatic quality, it belongs to the group of the most important Shakespearean tragedies together with Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, Antonio and Cleopatra and the historical tragedy Ricardo III. It is the shortest tragedy of all that Shakespeare wrote. At the time the drama was composed, England was going through a series of important changes in political life. After the death of Queen Elizabeth, the rise of James I had aroused the fear of refeudalization; surely for that reason, when writing this work Shakespeare was able to highlight the importance of a legitimate government that brought peace and order to Scotland and England: when James I of England assumed it, the king was already James VI of Scotland, that is, descendant of Banquo - one of the characters that appear in the tragedy - and therefore would be called to restore the political and religious order (due to its Catholic root, from the Stuart branch).
