The Time Machine

Wells describes - by the way - the machine superficially and lightly, with a few strokes of color, which leave the reader curious to know more about the invention and its mechanism. It was the first novel by one of those considered to be the fathers of science fiction and, with its mixture of adventures and social and political doctrine, it achieved remarkable success, thus contributing to the stability of Wells, who from that moment was able to dedicate himself fully to writing. With this work, Herbert George Wells inaugurated the theme of travel through time, although the author does not enter into temporal paradoxes, since in The Time Machine the moralizing purpose prevails.
