Ezio continues his life as an assassin after the events of Assassins Creed II in this open world spin-off that sees the master assassins of Rome fight against the powerful Templar Order.

With Assassins Creed II, Ubisoft left behind the times of the crusades and headed to Italy in the renaissance of the 15th century, giving players control of Ezio as he learnt the ways of the assassins guild. Instead of continuing the ongoing saga in a new timeframe, Assassins Creed - Brotherhood instead chooses to continue the story of Ezio, picking up after the events of the sequel to see him take on the remnants of the Templar Order across Rome.

The same sweeping vistas and attention to detail are on show in Brotherhood, providing players with a vast single player campaign set across new sections of Rome. Players can now recruit their own young assassins to take under their wing, deploying them across the city and calling on them for help during combat. For the first time in an Assassins Creed title, a fully-fledged multiplayer mode is on offer, allowing players to select their own assassins and test their skills against others online across the globe.
