Customise a car and hone your driving skills as you attempt to settle a score by becoming the best street racer in Palmont.
Following on from where the previous title in the series (Need for Speed: Most Wanted) left off, the main character finds himself in a new city and at the bottom of list of street racers. Players must build a crew and work their way to the top if they want to prove themselves to be the best. With tracks ranging from inner cities with bright lights to dark canyon runs with deadly precipices, there are plenty of places for racers to trade paint.
As with other games in the series, players can buy and modify the cars they wish to race with. There are 3 classes of car: Exotic, Muscle and Tuner, and mastery of each will be useful for various races. This game sees the return of drift mode and includes other race types, including canyon dual, checkpoint, circuit, speedtrap and sprint. Players who think they can engage in these fast-paced races without encountering the long arm of the law are sadly mistaken, with police run-ins being as exciting as the races themselves.
Need for Speed Carbon is a game where a well put together vehicle and lighting fast reflexes make all the difference.
