For scuffling New York P.I. Peter Joseph Detweiler (George Peppard), the gig didn't have a lot of downside-head to the Bahamas on the dime of a shifty millionaire (Raymond Burr), so he could bodyguard his threatened (and luscious) mistress (Gayle Hunnicutt). As he starts falling for his charge, though, he may not detect how he's being set up... until it's way too late.
