British family adventure drama directed by Andy De Emmony. A new couple bring their two young families together to spend a holiday in Cornwall in order to get to know one another better. As the children explore the local landscape, they discover a magical creature known as the Psammead (voice of Michael Caine) who is able to grant them wishes.

However, when they find out that a local land baron named Tristan (Russell Brand) wants to capture the Psammead the children do all they can to help their new friend.
