Sandra Nettlebeck's multi-award winning MOSTLY MARTHA follows the fortunes of Martha (Martina Gedeck), a head chef whose career obsession leaves no room for romance in her life. When her sister is killed, she is left in charge of her eight year old niece Lina (Maxime Foerste), and takes time off work in order to look after the stubborn child while attempts are made to locate her estranged father. On Martha's return to work, she meets the dashing new sous-chef Mario (Sergio Castellitto), and following an inauspicious start, the two bond and embark upon a relationship that alters Martha's attitude to life.
