'How old are you?' is really a duo album by Robin and Maurice Gibb. Robin sings all the lead vocals, but Maurice contributes a lot to the backing vocals and instrumentals, arrangements, and production. For that matter, Dennis Bryon and Alan Kendall reappear, giving us four out of six late-70's Bee Gees. This is a mixed set of songs, but some are very good, and it is always interesting to hear what comes out when Barry's somewhat dominant personality is subtracted from the Bee Gees creative team. As ever, Robin hit big in Germany, fairly big in England, and was ignored in the US. "Juliet" was deservedly a big hit in Europe. Robin is singing relatively high here although it is a drop from Barry's falsetto on the last Bee Gees album! Universal. 2005.
