Ten Thousand Saints is a coming of age drama set in the 1980s. After his best friend dies, Vermont teenager Jude moves in with his hippie dad in NYC. There he falls in with the no drugs, no sex, no meat, straight-edge hardcore punk scene of the East Village. The film stars Ethan Hawke, Emily Mortimer, Emile Hirsch, Hailee Steinfeld [Pitch Perfect] and Asa Butterfield [Hugo, Enders Game] as Jude. The film features two original songs written by Anna Waronker and Steven McDonald, as well as a cover of the Minor Threat song Straight Edge. The films score was composed by Garth Stevenson.
