Alive in the Catacombs Limited edition

Finally, the vinyl featuring QOTSA’s spellbinding "Alive in the Catacombs" performance from the tunnels of the Paris Catacombs is being made available. The Catacombs stretch over 320 kilometers underground and serve as a tourist attraction, housing the skeletal remains of millions of people buried in the 18th century – with many of the walls built from skulls and bones. Homme has dreamt of performing in the Catacombs ever since his first visit almost 20 years ago. Until now, no artist had ever been granted permission to perform in these sacred tunnels.

This truly unique and rare live experience features a carefully curated setlist spanning QOTSA’s entire catalog. Each song was handpicked and reinterpreted to match the haunting atmosphere of the Catacombs. Everything in this intimate concert is completely unfiltered, with each track recorded live in a single take – no overdubs, no editing. The sound was captured by Mark Rankin, François-Xavier Delaby, Henri d’Armancourt, and Alban Lejeune, and produced by Mark Rankin. Final mixes were completed by Mark Rankin, Joshua Homme, and Michael Shuman.

The band originally released a deluxe edition, which sold out in less than 24 hours through their own channels. Now the live album is being made available in a new retail version, housed in a single pocket cover with a printed inner sleeve featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes photos.
