Vinyl reissue of QOTSA's spellbinding "Alive in the Catacombs" performance from the tunnels of the Catacombs of Paris. Today, the Catacombs are a 320-kilometer-long underground tourist attraction housing millions of human skeletal remains buried in the 1700s – where much of the walls are built from skulls and bones. Homme has dreamed of performing in the Catacombs since his first visit nearly 20 years ago. But until now, it has not been possible for any artist to get permission to perform in the sacred tunnels – until now.

This completely unique and rare live experience features a carefully selected setlist consisting of songs from across QOTSA's catalog. Each song has been selected and reinterpreted to fit the atmosphere of the Catacombs. Everything in this mini-concert is completely unfiltered, as each song was recorded live in a single take, without overdubs or editing. The audio was recorded by Mark Rankin, François-Xavier Delaby, Henri d’Armancourt, and Alban Lejeune, and produced by Mark Rankin. The final mixes were done by Mark Rankin, Joshua Homme, and Michael Shuman.
