In December 2014, Manic Street Preachers embarked on a tour of the UK, where they, for the first – and probably last – time, played their career-defining album "The Holy Bible" in its entirety. At concerts in Glasgow, Manchester, and London, James Dean Bradfield, Nicky Wire, and Sean Moore immersed themselves in the album's dark universe to mark the 20th anniversary of its original release and the band's legendary concerts at Astoria, which were played in connection with the album.

"The Holy Bible Live" was recorded over the three evenings the band played at the Roundhouse in London. All tracks from the original album were performed in their full, uncompromising form and are collected here as a perfect document of a band at a creative peak – and of their undiminished abilities as a live band.

The recordings on "The Holy Bible Live" were mixed by Dave Eringa in the months following the concerts. There are no overdubs – only the sound of a trio tearing through a classic album, accompanied by the united voices of the audience singing every single word back towards the stage.

This deluxe edition contains the entire concert on CD and 2LP blue marbled vinyl, including a special etching on side D, as well as the Director's Cut version of Kieran Evans' critically acclaimed concert film "Be Pure – Be Vigilant – Behave" on Blu-ray.

The package also includes a brand new mix of the original album by Steven Wilson on CD, an exclusive 16-page book, and a photo print by Pennie Smith.
