A summit meeting of two brilliant musicians who loved the blues: “The Bosses” is an album by American blues shouter “Big Joe” Turner, recorded under the direction of Count Basie. “The Bosses” was recorded in 1973 under the direction of legendary producer Norman Granz and released on his famous Pablo label in the same year. A review by Scott Yanow on AllMusic rated the album 4 stars and called it one of the best albums from Turner's later career.
