Mitchell's playing is lyrical without being cheesy, swinging without showing off. He is supported by a rhythm section that is so well attuned to each other that you might think they are telepathically connected. At the piano is Wynton Kelly, whose comping is basically musical espresso: sharp, energetic, and never over the top.
